Equity for Children, Advisory Board Member
Jace Schinderman is president of JLS Enterprises, a strategic management consultancy established in 2006 that focuses on work in educational institutions at the primary, secondary, undergraduate and post-graduate levels as well as other non-profit organizations. She specializes in board development, fund raising, program creation and turnaround, project start-up, special events and galas, website development, branding and positioning. Clients have included Carnegie Corporation, Inner-City Scholarship Fund and the Endowment for Inner-City Education at the Archdiocese of New York, Rice University, the Rubin Museum of Art, the Bronx Children’s Museum and Urban Education Exchange.
Schinderman served as associate dean for special projects and secretary to the board at Columbia Business School from 1990-2006. She held senior positions before that at Illinois Institute of Technology and Tulane’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. For six years before that she founded and ran Crescent House, Louisiana’s first shelter for battered women and children, under the auspices of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Schinderman holds a bachelor of arts degree and an MBA from Tulane University. She serves on the Columbia Journalism School’s Knight-Bagehot Board and is a member of the Alternative Investments Group Boards of Oppenheimer & Co. and Central Park Group.
