Monitoring and Evaluation are crucial tools for policy/program design and implementation. Projects, programs and policies must show results and are required to present evidence on their efficiencies by comparing costs with their final results. In the past, monitoring and evaluation were mainly associated with quantitative and statistical methods. However, recently the use of qualitative analysis has gained currency; thus included in this section are examples of both methods, plus the merging of the two approaches.
