Since the start of Covid-19, Equity for Children initiated programming to reflect the urgent needs experienced by vulnerable families and their children. The pandemic exacerbated existing inequalities, putting an estimated 60 million children at risk of falling into poverty. Economic hardship experienced by families threatens all aspects of child wellbeing, but the digital divide reflected in home schooling presents a grave danger of rising inequality.

Equity for Children’s In First Person video of Mrs. Maritza Pfuño Diaz, a Peruvian woman who lives with her two sons and daughter in the most populous district of Lima, put a personal face on the harsh realities that vulnerable families face during Covid-19.
