Three-quarters of the world’s 25 million people internally displaced by conflict are believed to be women and children. This paper is an introduction to the impact of displacement onchildren, the basic principles and mechanisms governing the protection of internally displaced children (IDP children), containing recommendations and further reading.
The meeting was co-organised by Equity for Children in partnership with UNICEF and the Bristol Poverty Institute, at the University of Bristol, UK, who are collaborating on a research program to improve the international measurement of child and family poverty.
