“The Lottery of Birth”, A Special Lecture Presentation of the Latest Save The Children Publication

On March 17th, 2015, Jose Manuel Roche, Head of Research at Save the Children UK, gave a special lecture on the organization's latest publication, The Lottery of Birth, during the "Children’s Rights, Poverty and Equity" class taught by Equity for Children's Executive Director, Alberto Minujin. The report  covers global trends on child inequalities, survival and progress. In particular, it highlights inequalities and discrimination within and between countries.

Roche discussed some of the root causes of these trends and emphasized policy changes to help ensure more equitable development. Keep checking the Equity for Children website for additional information on this event in the coming months.
