The Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP), in cooperation with Zed Books, requests entries for the CROP International Studies in Poverty Prize 2015. Proposals should be original, high-quality, alternative and critical academic manuscripts. Works challenging the dominant thinking and knowledge about poverty and providing sound contributions to the eradication and/or prevention of poverty in our world are especially welcomed.
Poverty must be the central focus of the monograph. Innovative proposals are accepted from all disciplines of the Social Sciences and the Humanities. CROP is particularly interested in the themes Poverty and Human Rights; Gender Disparity; Institutional Design; Policy Innovation and Global Justice.
CLOSING DAY FOR SUBMISSION OF ENTRIES: 30 NOVEMBER 2015

The winner of the CROP International Studies in Poverty Prize 2015 will receive 50,000 NOK (~6,000 USD). The manuscript will be published in the CROP International Studies in Poverty series by Zed Books and the winner will also receive 10 copies of the book.
To submit an entry please complete a full book proposal. The proposals should be original and written in the English language in accordance with the following guidelines: http://www.zedbooks.co.uk/for-authors.
Submissions will undergo a blind, fair and unbiased review by a panel of international judges.
The result will be simultaneously published on the CROP and Zed Books websites in early 2016.
