Interview with Benita Miller, Executive Director, NYC Children’s Cabinet

In an interview with Equity for Children, Benita Miller, Executive Director of the New York City Children’s Cabinet, discusses the Cabinet’s work, challenges and impact in alleviating the burdens of poverty and inequality for families.

Created in 2015, the Cabinet promotes collaboration among city agencies on issues of child safety and wellbeing. It develops opportunities for service providers to leverage each others’ work for a greater cumulative impact on early childhood and families.  This multi-agency effort creates a comprehensive framework to support and enhance child wellbeing.
