Building The Village Video 1: ‘Why The Village?’

A Chance In Life with Equity for Children to produce a video series about our newest program site- The Village on Staten Island – where  we employ the Positive Youth Development (PYD) model to build competencies  so that kids can overcome poverty and have a chance to succeed.

In this video, Gabriele Delmonaco, A Chance In Life’s President/Executive Director and Alberto Minujin, Equity for Children’s Founder & Executive Director discuss each of their organization’s mission. Emilie Puzio, a long-time A Chance In Life Board Member whose family has supported our work for generations, candidly shares her memories of the first village “Il Villaggio” in Rome and ACIL’s founder, Monsignor John Patrick Carroll-Abbing.
