On April 25, 2024, the webinar “Public Spaces: Rights and Opportunities” took place as part of the lecture series organized by MUNA-UNICEF Argentina (Municipalities United for Childhood and Adolescence). The event drew a distinguished audience, with 120 attendees from various municipalities and provinces of Argentina, and also included representatives from neighboring countries’ municipalities, thus enriching the diversity of perspectives.
On this occasion, Leandra Bonofiglio, Senior Advisor on Public Spaces for Equity for Children, delivered a presentation emphasizing the need to promote actions that encourage the use of public spaces by children, not only as an inalienable right but also as an invaluable opportunity to build social bonds. Additionally, she shared experiences of actions in the region, from innovative urban design projects to participatory activities that actively involve children and adolescents in shaping their environment.
